John Q. Doan, CEO
John is a refugee from Vietnam, who immigrated to the US with his mom and brother Roy. He earned an engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon then went to graduate school at Harvard. He is a licensed professional civil engineer with a background in innovative infrastructure finance, community organizing and project management. His experience helping care for his brother, who lives with dementia and primary progressive MS, inspired him to work toward solving transit issues for everyone who is not served by the current service options.
Sebastien Tavenas, COO
Sebastien is our resident business planner extraordinaire, investor relations and finance guy. Sebastien is a world traveled Francophile with extensive executive experience in the luxury goods industry. Most recently he was the GM and VP for Global Sales of a luxury tableware company. Prior to that he served as Executive Director of the French American Chamber of Commerce in Minneapolis. He is a sharp dresser who lives in Edina with his wife – an opera singer – and their two children.
Kurt Miller, Sales Director
Kurt is our sales lead, focusing on customer acquisition. He brings three decades of problem solving and collaborative sales experience to MO, as well as strong communication and relationship skills. He earned a degree in Marketing and Business from the University of Minnesota Carlson School. He has caught all 5 species of salmon from a riverbank in Alaska. In 2019 Kurt proudly added “Grandpa” to his title.
Madeline Neenan, Project Coordinator
Madeline is an experienced Project Coordinator and copywriter with a background in higher education and farming. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English at the College of Saint Benedict. She has a history of creating order out of disarray. She has been skydiving, bungee jumping, and scuba diving (not all at once).
Sara Leitner, Strategy Consultant
Sara uses her business expertise to serve as Strategy Consultant. She has worked in property management, retail sales, B2B sales and teaching. She operates her own firm as a strategy and management consultant in Minnesota and internationally. She has a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College and earned her MBA at Hult International Business School in Boston. She is a Tough Mudder Legionnaire, member of Women Who Code, globetrotter and artist.
Jodie Tanaka, Marketing & Creative Director
Marketing prodigy and roadie for a heavy metal rock band. Jodie owns and runs Tempo Creative and has serviced notable clients including the Twins, Sun Country and Northwest Airlines, General Mills and MnDOT. Jodie and John met while serving on the Council of Asian Pacific Minnesotans together over a decade ago. Jodie is a trusted friend, champion of the forgotten, Harley rider, and mother.
